The Class Room Is The Heart Of The Nation

The green-white-green flies today because brave men dared to dream of freedom.

But the dream remains unfinished if children still sit under trees to learn, if teachers still teach without tools, if knowledge remains a privilege for the few.

Education is the independence that makes all other independence meaningful.

With education, Nigeria can feed herself.

With education, Nigeria can heal herself.

With education, Nigeria can lead the world.

Let this anniversary ignite a new revolution — an education revolution.

Let every child have a desk.

Let every desk have a book.

Let every book open a future.

That is how to truly honor the labour of our heroes past.

Happy Independence Day! Long Live Nigeria!
